    Horbury Academy is a mixed, 11-16 comprehensive, situated on the outskirts of Wakefield.  Horbury Academy`s purpose is to inspire students to be the best version of themselves.

    Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College pride themselves in providing a caring community that treats every student as an individual.  Their basic aim is to create happy students who really enjoy their learning.

    The Freeston Academy

    The Freeston Academy believe that anyone can achieve anything and provide a caring and nurturing place where curriculum pathways build and develop strengths so students make progress. 

    Kettlethorpe High School

    The school specialises in Maths and Computing, boasting regional and national championships in football, rugby, athletics and cricket to name a few.

    Castleford Academy

     

    Castleford Academy is an exceptional over-subscribed secondary school catering for nearly 1,200 11-19 year old pupils. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum and we are firmly committed to establishing excellent standards and are proud of our achievements.     Boasting a thriving and highly successful learning community of around 1,000 students, the school aims to foster students unique talents and abilities to enable "Success for All".

    Normanton Common Primary School

    Built in 1999, the school is situated about 5 miles north-east of Wakefield and currently has approximately 300 full time pupils.

    Smawthorne Henry Moore Primary School

    Based in Castleford, the school aims to raise levels of attainment for all pupils enabling them to achieve their personal best. The staff are committed to making the school the best it can be for everyone.

    Stanley St Peter's C of E (VC) Primary & Nursery School

    The school is based close to Wakefield City Centre, and has just over 330 pupils.

    Wakefield Girls High School

    Founded in 1878, WGHS has a fine reputation for high expectations and academic attainment, and with its landmark Georgian portico WGHS is very much part of Wakefield`s history and its future.

    The Springfield Centre

    The Springfield Centre is a pupil referral unit based close to the centre of Wakefield.  It currently has 45 pupils aged between 14-16 and is committed to improving each students achievements.
